Droid X is pretty neat and has kickn' internal storage!

Well, my Dad finally got a Droid X, and it is super sweet. I'm a bit jealous, but man, I do not want to pay the cost of subscription that comes with a contract phone.

However, if you are part of the Verizon world, I highly recommend the Droid X.. Imagine internal storage measured in gigabytes instead of megabytes. I have fantasies about how many apps I could fit on that thing.

My Samsung Intercept topped out at about 45 apps (as long as some of them were small. My LG Optimus V is at about 91 apps. Apps2SD makes a huge difference.

I assume keeping it all internal to the Droid's memory would make it faster. If I ever find one just to buy without a contract, even just to use as WiFi, it may be a better investment than a PSP because of how many games and apps I could use with the internal memory.

Lifehacker Records Google's Demonstration of the New Android Market

If you haven't stopped by the New and Improved ONLINE "In Your Browser on your PC" Android Market, you need to!

Finally, the Android Marketplace online looks like what it should have looked like all along. There was little that surprised me more about Android than the poor quality of the website version of the Android Marketplace.

I love that you can install apps from the browser like the old "Fast Install" option over at AppBrain.com.

Songbird Finally Makes an Android App

I don't know about you, but the cute short black birdie with the DJ headphones on from the Songbird developers makes me smile everytime.

I am excited that there is a new Android app, which you can get from Songbird (not on the Android Market yet).

Right now, it is simple, sleek, and sexy. I'm excited to see where this app goes in the future.

Maybe Songbird's attempt to make a stellar Linux media player that has since been discontinued laid the foundation for this very promising Android app.

Download the APK now!

Androids are Getting Less and Less Expensive!

Case in point that Android's are getting cheaper and cheaper is the new Virgin Mobile phone releasing tomorrow, Feb 1st, at a cool $150.

It runs Froyo 2.2, has a larger screen than the Samsung Intercept, but there is no pull out keyboard.

The Lg Rumor Touch may drop in price if Virgin Mobile plans to sell any more of them when people can get an Android phone for the exact same price.
